Where time stopped

In Uribelarrea, a city near Cañuelas, we can find grocery stores, cheeses and memories
The city of Uribelarrea possesses earthen dusty streets that protect acacias and ash trees; naps of sun with dogs that they bark tirelessly; Geese, hens, horses, bicycles, and almost no cars, everything perfumed for the smell of the bread recently baked of the bakery painted yellow.
Some tame madmen rest his drowsiness at the octagonal square or in anyone of the eight convergent streets or four diagonals, resultants of the drawn original designed by the engineer architect Pedro Benoit, the same one that drew The Silver.
At 50 minutes of Buenos Aires and at 15 of Cañuelas, this rural and historic small town founded by Uribelarrea's Mr. Miguel Nemesio in 1890, he appears in the tourism with grocery stores, restaurants, cold cuts, cheeses and craft beers.
But there was a time, nearly the 30s, in which Uribelarrea possessed five stores of general bunches and four schools . There were clubs and gala dances. The milky train passed and other 34 daily services, and the familiar business were working near 100 tambos. In general, Basque and Italian emigrated to the country tempted for his prosperity.
Uribe, as the clients call it, was founded before the arrival of the railroad, that it began to work in 1892: When the first locomotive in front of the flaming station blew the whistle . In the town, 19 houses existed with his parish church Our Lady of Luján, of neo-gothic style. A great part of the antique town purely the tambero desappeared ( ... ) ; Also the Escuela Agrotécnica Salesiana Don Bosco keeps working, one of first ones belonging to Latin America that offers cheeses and sausages elaborated by 350 pupils and teachers. In this town's entrance, Máquinas's and Herramientas Rurales Leopoldo Rizzi's Museum exhibits an important collection of machines and antique tools the weekends.

The tambo's taste
With all this mystique and some facilities for part of Cañuelas's municipality, Uribelarrea was elected by microemprender to install establishments of craft products. Such is the case of Goñi's Tambo Caprino Valle. There, Horacio Martínez and his woman, Regina, 100 Anglo Nubian multipurpose goats make an effort to and accomplish his specialties. In addition to have lunch or to take tea and to buy exquisite products - milk, liquor and cheeses candy of goat elaborate to the Argentine style, fellow Sardinian, provolone, among others -, the owners offer a didactic visit. On the other hand, with antique Italian recipes and Spaniards, the agronomist Miguel Carello elaborates and sells sopressatta Sicilian, salametti, Calabrian sausage, among another sausages of Pueblo Escondido. Carello is also chief of the Escuela Don Bosco's production, where in addition to sausages and cheeses, they bring up themselves and the parrilleros ... The specialist of Town Escondido utilizes spicery, manual machines, the zone's beef of cold storage rooms, bandage laying hens's eggs, rabbits, chickens swim without conserving additives. On the spot the elaboration of the sausages or his maturation in environments with controlled temperature can be seen, and besides tastings come true .
Before the return, it is possible to observe how the sun goes off from the brewery's tables, singing softly to and to the horses's trot that spur on the cattle toward the corrals.

Gaucho spirit still contributes energy to Uribelarrea

Be born to for impulse of the farms tamberas that were proliferating at the zone, he crossed epoches of crisis and today he turns to rise of the tourist investment's hand

URIBELARREA

.-¿Which is that tone that he does to this so especial town? It's possible that he be because he reserved a gaucho air and centennial that the modernity had to respect himself. Perhaps be the station's those walls that count stories of transportings and goodbyes, with bricks than myriads of rains they washed, perhaps be for the fallen leaves among the been tiresome manners of the train, perhaps for the heights eucalyptuses that rustle while make feel shade.
Or it may be that the responsible one belonging to mystery be the strange cemetery, of artistic entrance grate, empty, without nobody that he inhabit it and almost that he visit it. Although this last we can not affirm it, right now than ¿The souls when the place was dislodged will have migrated and there was almost a vault, does he empty also?
Uribelarrea was born of the farms tamberas, there at the province of Buenos Aires, to 16 Cañuelas's kilometers. In 1889, when they were moving Domingo F. Sarmiento´s times, Miguel Nemesio of Uribelarrea donated part of his lands to establish a cologne that was fundamentally milky. It was an activity than in his apogee ( years 30 and 40 of the past century ) he was joining together one fiftieth of tambos. Today some are necessary to still besides they produce cheeses and milk sweets.
For his part, in 1894 the Salesian parents founded the Escuela Agrotécnica Don Bosco, first of that fellow at the country, that today he keeps being working.
In Uribelarrea - Uribe for the intimate - he can talk about foundation and foundations. The first without a doubt is the one that he gave his name to the room. As it was said, Miguel of Uribelarrea was responsible for it, and besides he erected in 1890 the neo-gothic God's house in honor to his wife.
This construction is neo-gothic but he has a curious length for that fellow of churches; In this case, the ship ( distance among the entrance and the altar ) he does not arrive to a score of meters. The beauty of the design is answered back in the bulrush and the pillars that surround it.
At this church, the movie producer Alan Parker filmed the remembered sequence of burial of Evita's father, Juan Duarte. Besides, Uribe was the film's scenario Juan Moreira and many others.

The another foundation
Now he can talk about another foundation. For a time, the investment, tourist and new inhabitants were drawn to this town. A complex of already established restaurants and other ones that are announced, along with some lodging houses, gave hereafter to the place, respecting punctiliously tired air and making the way of walking of the Volantas (carriole) possible. the Tambera began like zone and it kept that seal. That's why, for any street he can find the tamberito (tambo men´s)spurring on the cows ( with Basque beret, clearing ).
Uribe shows continuously signs without revealing of a mysterious pampa, that he is certainly what he attracts so much. Because it is tasted, like right now, mystery is not necessary to reveal it, simply to feel it.
